Co-founder POC in Play / Games Writer

Chella Ramanan is a freelance video games journalist, podcaster and game developer. Her writing has appeared on The Guardian,, as well as interviews with the BBC and speaking at events.

Chella is the co-founder of 3-Fold Games and the narrative designer on narrative exploration game, Before I Forget, which focuses on a woman living with dementia. She is co-writing the illustrated interactive fiction, Windrush Tales about the Windrush generation coming to 1950s Britain. Chella is an active diversity champion, as a former board member and vice chair for Women in Games and BAME in Games, respectively. She currently sits on the advisory board of the BGI, the new national organisation for games culture. In 2018, Chella was nominated as a 100 rising star of the industry and nominated as Journalist of the Year for the MCV Women in Games Awards. She was also selected for Ensemble, an exhibition highlighting BAME talent in games.
